Stuck On A Plateau?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and confidently say we’re probably among the 1% of coaches who will ever talk about this.
In an industry where the majority of coaches get by with the equivalent of a primary school education, the phrase ‘eat less, move more’ has become the catch all solution when it comes to weight loss.
I’ll make this brief.
Your body is a machine that has evolved to be unbelievably efficient at managing energy. It is this ability that prevented us from going extinct.
Problem: modern life is designed to make and keep us fat.
Solution: eat less, move more.
Problem: Your body is a machine that has evolved to be unbelievably efficient at managing energy, meaning it has adapted to eating less and moving more, so that stops working.
Fitness Industry Solution: eat even less, move even more.
Repeat cycle until you’re unbelievably miserable and metabolically crippled.
Until you break the cycle of eat less move more you will be trapped in a race to the bottom. It does not work.
The body adapts to the demands placed upon it. Period. Do more, it will rob the energy back elsewhere, and you won’t even know it. Continue to eat even less and do even more, it will reward your efforts with zero adaptation, injury, messed up hormones, and lack of energy and enthusiasm for life.
Basically your body will just be in a constant state of repair, not of adaptation.
No good!
Adaptation is THE ONLY THING we are trying to get from our training. Not calories burned, not MEPS or whatever the fuck they are, not the fastest time or the most reps.
The adaptation.
Adaptation requires the necessary building blocks present in the body.
You cannot build a house with no bricks (muscle growth) or fuel a fire with no wood (metabolism).
The ONLY way out of the cycle is to train the body to tolerate a much higher amount of daily calories, without gaining bodyfat (notice I didn’t mention weight).
For some, this might also entail doing LESS exercise, but with MORE focus.
